SYNOPSIS
The Eyes of Others, directed by Andrea De Sica, is loosely inspired by the infamous Casati Stampa murder case, one of the most scandalous crimes in post-war Italy.
The film revisits the excesses and decadence of an era through a modern, fierce, and intensely suspenseful perspective. Set against the opulent and untamed backdrop of a private island owned by a wealthy and disillusioned marquis, the arrival of Elena (Jasmine Trinca) marks the beginning of a passionate and dangerous relationship.
Through erotic role-playing, voyeurism, complicity, and challenges that push the boundaries of morality, the protagonists become immersed in a relationship driven by the desire to be seen while breaking every rule.
But when the game turns into obsession and love becomes a battleground between control and surrender, everything begins to collapse. Their fragile balance is shattered by an escalating spiral of jealousy, manipulation, and violence that leads to a tragic ending.
