Festa a Mare agli Scogli di Sant'Anna 2026 Postponed to Friday, July 31
The Municipality of Ischia announces that, following consultations with the Harbour Master's Office, law enforcement authorities, and the agencies responsible for public safety, the 94th edition of the Festa a Mare agli Scogli di Sant'Anna, originally scheduled for Sunday, July 26, has been postponed to Friday, July 31, 2026.
Weather and sea forecasts predict rain, strong winds, and rough sea conditions that are not compatible with the safe staging of the event, including the traditional parade of allegorical boats, the pyromusical fireworks display, and the thousands of boats that gather each year in Cartaromana Bay.
Forecasts also remain uncertain through Wednesday, July 29, making it impossible to carry out the necessary offshore setup operations and any restoration or reorganization activities in complete safety.
This decision has been made with the utmost sense of responsibility, placing public safety above all else. Unpredictable weather has always been one of the challenges in organizing the Festa a Mare agli Scogli di Sant'Anna, and the event has been postponed for the same reasons on previous occasions, including the most recent edition.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to residents, visitors, and businesses that had planned to attend. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the participating associations, the Harbour Master's Office, law enforcement agencies, all involved organizations, and the many volunteers for their cooperation and support.
We look forward to welcoming you on Friday, July 31, 2026.
The event programme remains unchanged and will begin at 8:30 PM.
Join us to celebrate the 94th Festa a Mare agli Scogli di Sant'Anna together.

Starting at 7:00 PM, the Città di Ischia Musical Band will parade through the historic centre of Ischia Ponte, with several stops along the route up to Piazzale Aragonese and back, performing symphonic marches.

At 7:30 PM, the pre-festival programme begins with a presentation by Anna Castagna, who will introduce the audience to artist Romolo Bianco. He will perform a voice and guitar show, taking the audience on a journey through the melodies of classic Neapolitan songs while accompanying the anticipation of the most magical night of the Ischian summer.

At around 9:00 PM, the bay will be transformed by the colours of the celebration, hosted by Mariagrazia Nicotra, Claudio Iacono, and Beppi Banfi, who will launch the evening’s magic with the parade of the four allegorical boats.

Among this year’s new highlights, one in particular carries the scent of myth and rises from the sea:
“Sirenes – Mermaid Experience”, a legend brought to life, created and imagined by Alessandro D’Auria in the beating heart of Cartaromana Bay.

Here, the water becomes a stage—fluid, luminous, and boundless. The sea itself will welcome a performance designed to enchant, move, and remain forever in the memories of those who experience the evening.

Following the parade of the allegorical boats, the award ceremony and the announcement of the winning association will take place. The night will culminate with the highly anticipated illumination of Aragonese Castle, followed by a spectacular pyromusical fireworks show that will transform the bay into a scene of wonder and enchantment.
