2 Hearts and 2 Cabins, a film directed by Massimiliano Bruno, tells the story of a couple. Alessandra and Valerio (Claudia Pandolfi and Edoardo Leo) could not be more different.
She is a brilliant, independent, unconventional woman in her forties, a committed feminist, allergic to cohabitation and long-term relationships. He, her peer, is a rigid, habit-driven man, sporty, rule-oriented, and fond of the simplicity of an orderly life. Yet they share one common trait: a rejection of any stable commitment.
An unexpected night of passion brings them together, overturning their convictions and leaving them stunned. It seemed like a casual encounter, and yet destiny has other plans for them.
The next day they discover they work at the same school. Alessandra is the teacher most loved by the students, while Valerio is the new, uncompromising principal. Two opposite poles, forced to share not only school corridors but also a feeling neither of them had foreseen.
Amid ideological clashes, irresistible attraction, and situations bordering on the comic, we witness the encounter-clash between two free spirits who, however opposite they may be, find themselves questioning everything they once believed in.
Because sometimes, to find love, all it takes is a cabin in which to learn how to live with another person — and with oneself.
