The Mandalorian & Grogu, directed by Jon Favreau, is set after the fall of the Empire and portrays a galaxy still engulfed in chaos, where Imperial warlords continue to wield residual power while the emerging New Republic struggles to restore order and uphold the ideals for which the Rebel Alliance fought.
In this unstable setting, the New Republic turns to the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), who travels on the fringes of the law alongside his young apprentice Grogu, a mysterious baby alien of the same species as Yoda and gifted with a powerful connection to the Force. As Grogu continues his journey to learn how to control his abilities, Din Djarin is assigned a new and dangerous mission that will force him to confront unknown threats.
Amid lawless galaxies, fragile political balances, and the return of fearsome figures such as Rotta the Hutt, Jabba’s son, the film focuses both on the tensions surrounding the new republican order and on the deep, complex bond between the Mandalorian and Grogu, who once again find themselves forced to flee, fight, and protect one another.
