“LUCE!”: THE STORY OF THE UNFORGETTABLE ANGELA LUCE COMES BACK TO LIFE IN FORIO

Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the evocative churchyard of the Soccorso in Forio will host “LUCE! – A Tribute Show to the Unforgettable Angela Luce,” conceived by Elisabetta Maschio.

Organized by the Fantasynapoli APS Association under the patronage of the Municipality of Forio, the initiative was born from the desire to bring back to centre stage the memory and personality of Angela Luce, an intense and versatile artist who, throughout her long career, crossed eras, genres and forms of expression, leaving a profound mark on Italian culture and entertainment.

“LUCE!” is not intended to be a simple celebration or a traditional biographical reconstruction. Instead, the project follows the path of theatrical storytelling, made up of emotions, evocative moments, words, music and fragments of life, offering the audience an authentic and passionate portrait of a woman and artist with a unique personality. Through the stage narrative, the performers will accompany the audience on a journey through Angela Luce’s life and art, through memories, encounters, passions and moments that convey the complexity of an extraordinary personal and professional journey. A journey through memory that also becomes an opportunity to rediscover the value of an artist who expressed herself through theatre, cinema, music and song, becoming an unmistakable presence in Neapolitan and Italian entertainment.

The script and direction are by Giuseppe Iacono, with assistant direction by Giusy Iacono. On stage are Elisabetta Maschio, Fabio Iacono and Tiziana Trancone, accompanied on piano by Maestro Silvano Trani. The sound and lighting design is by Francesco Rando.

Live music will play a central role in the storytelling, helping to create the atmosphere suspended between present and past that characterizes the entire project. The stage will thus become a space where memory finds its voice, and where the figure of Angela Luce can ideally meet the audience once again through the words, performances and emotions of the artists. “LUCE!” is therefore an invitation to discover and rediscover. To discover a great artist for those who never had the opportunity to fully appreciate her career; and to rediscover, for those who remember her, a figure capable of embodying an unrepeatable era of Neapolitan culture and entertainment. The event takes on a special significance also because of the evocative setting of the Soccorso churchyard, a symbolic place in Forio which, for one evening, will welcome a story of art, memory and identity.

The event will therefore take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., at the Soccorso churchyard in Forio.
