PLOT Dracula: The Lost Love, directed by Luc Besson, begins in 1480. Prince Vlad of Wallachia (Caleb Landry Jones), a brave military leader, leaves to fight the invading Ottoman armies, entrusting the safety of his beloved wife Elisabeta (Zoë Bleu). But fate cruelly tears them apart. Elisabeta is killed, and when the Church refuses to grant her resurrection, Vlad — blinded by grief — renounces God and commits a blasphemous act, killing a priest at the altar. It marks the beginning of his eternal damnation: he is cursed to wander the centuries as a vampire. Vlad becomes Dracula, an immortal creature of the night. Centuries later, in 19th-century Paris, Dracula glimpses a young woman, Mina (Zoë Bleu), identical in every way to Elisabeta. Convinced she is her reincarnation, he abandons his Transylvanian castle to find her. Their encounter ignites a new spiral of passion, illusion, and violence. Meanwhile, Jonathan Harker (Ewens Abid), a young lawyer, is sent deep into the Carpathians to negotiate the sale of an abbey near Paris. Unaware of the danger, he falls prey to Dracula. When the vampire discovers in Jonathan’s medallion a portrait of Mina, he realizes that destiny is offering him a second chance. But his rebirth collides with Van Helsing (Christoph Waltz), a warrior priest sent by the Church to stop Dracula’s dark ascent, and with Maria (Matilda De Angelis), a mysterious woman confined to an asylum, who reveals a disturbing connection to the dark lord himself.
