Il Mio Nome è Riccardo Cocciante, the documentary directed by Stefano Salvati, explores the creative and musical genius of Riccardo Cocciante, going beyond the simple narration of his extraordinary career.
The film offers an immersive journey into his artistic universe, presenting an intimate and powerful portrait of an artist who has reinvented music for more than fifty years. The cameras follow Cocciante behind the scenes of his major 2025 events at the Baths of Caracalla and the Verona Arena, capturing the essence of his live performances. At the same time, the documentary accompanies him through the creative process behind his new album of original songs, from the recording studio to sound exploration and experimentation, as well as the new staging of internationally acclaimed productions such as Notre Dame de Paris and Giulietta e Romeo.
Alongside previously unseen archival footage retracing his career and testimonies from renowned artists, the film incorporates artificial intelligence tools to recreate moments from the past, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of memory and the evolution of Cocciante’s artistic journey.
